Really just trying to steer back to art rather than the nonsense above.
"nonsense", smh...
really disillusioning to see that it is a political issue to some rather than a humanitarian issue.
i think the "nonsense" issue belongs on this board as it is one of OG's main agenda, as he has stated many times.

I don’t think Fairey would consider the social and political motivations driving his artwork as “nonsense.” Reminds me of some of the Pearl Jam fans a while back who got all upset when they realized their Band was on the Left.

touché. i guess you
fan the flames of hate enough and something will light on fire. who would have thought.
Yeah, that one may gain a little more traction too.

There's a politics board, fellas.
Did you not remember what thread you're in? At least half of Shepard's art is political. This is one of the places to talk about the issues he raises.

Is that what it is, a message getting across? Because the more innocent businesses that get looted, burned to the ground and destroyed the faster we get away from that original message. I'm already starting to forget this poor guys name. Oh well, more free S for us right? LOL

Edit to add: Before this silly paper pushing Shepard Fairey “Obey” thread spins out of control, let it be known that all the soy boy’s, SJW’s that have been spoon-fed propaganda that they are being oppressed, yes, you are being oppressed by those very elected officials that have lied to you for generations “vote for me, I will save you.” Nah, all they have done is kept those in poverty, poor - poor communities stay poor. That’s the “left’s” agenda, always has been, always will be. Those poor righteous ones have been conned. It's sad and nothing, nothing will change until they remove the blinders from their eyes.
SJW
Let's break that down Mr nothing.
Social
Justice
Warrior
Fighting for social justice is... Bad??? What planet do you live on?
You do know it's not you that's being oppressed right? It's people of color and lower socio economic status. And it's not a bogeyman created to make an issue out of, it's day to day life for many people in this country. Just because they're not you doesn't mean you shouldn't care about them.
But you do you king.
It's GEORGE FLOYD btw. The "poor guy"s name was George Floyd. Have a little respect at the least.

I was very happy that Blue Rooster, an art store where I often buy supplies, offered me a space to put up some art in solidarity with the protests for social justice. Please support Blue Rooster as they are independent and face serious financial challenges as most businesses do during COVID. Thanks to Rob Zagula and Luka Densmore for their help with the art install!

Did you read King of Nothings post? It was drymounting nonsense. Regardless, stating that has absolutely nothing to do with how I feel about the current events, and I certainly don't come to an art forum looking for validation of my political beliefs.
I'm not someone else.

I'll return to this thread in a month. Until then, enjoy!
Just like the Christians who vote from Trump. Or the right-wing Pearl Jam fans who whine “shut up and sing.”
