i would say that's really only the case in the bay area / nyc or a few other tech hot spots, nowhere else is that true.canuck wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 12:31 amThese companies are a drop in the bucket in the tech world. Don't underestimate the world of computer science amigo. 100K is a nice starting pay for a junior developer with barely a few years of experience.ygolohcysp wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 12:20 amYou're overestimating the size of these operations and you're underestimating their reach and capability, but ok.
That said look at "obey bob Marley" on eBay. 119 listed, 106 sold. How many prints did he sell? 1700?
Love how he's an expert on computer science all of a sudden. Guess the Vegas thing didn't pan out.
P.S. He's wildly estimating the ceiling for most programmers at most corporations unless they're a top performer or in management. If they're lucky, they make most of their money on stock options when they get hired.

Wad up man! You still playing poker much?
Dabbled with it for a bit. Smashed through cal I II, discrete, linear algebra, ordinary differential equations and a few other comms classes and decided my calling is with the people! It's an interesting subject though.

Wildly, maybe a little but there is serious money in the business. And duh the best of the best make the cream of the crop. A friend works 100% from home coding for state farm and makes 125k plus all the juicy benefits.
