Hippie wrote:Obey inventory quantity for the Chuck D has been stuck on 2 for about 3 minutes now (5 minutes after drop)... I'm starting to wonder if they are intentionally overselling just to make an additional variant. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid and this is just another honest mistake.... Oh, just changed to 1 available as of now. (8 minutes after drop)... it sold out about 10 minutes after drop
It was shooting down in inventory, as normal, i.e. 130...80...35....2 and then just stopped. (... are refreshes 5-10 seconds or so)
So, according to the source code at least, it sold 448 copies in 2-3 minutes and then it took 7-8 minutes to sell the remaining 2 copies.

Has he ever said anything about liking CC or Soundgarden? Not his kind of music I don't think. Shep isn't Brainwash; I think he only does portraits of his personal faves.

chuck d back up
Anyone know if Shep has ever addressed the fact that he uses uline tubes, which is owned by Richard Uihlein, who is a super conservative and donates millions to conservative candidates. Seems a bit odd knowing his politics lean liberal to support a company owned by one of the biggest conservative donors.

Shep never has but it's been brought up on forums and whatnot occasionally. Tweet at him see if you can get a response.Mapman wrote:Anyone know if Shep has ever addressed the fact that he uses uline tubes, which is owned by Richard Uihlein, who is a super conservative and donates millions to conservative candidates. My Obey "Bad Reputation” print is inspired by music graphics, especially punk and new wave album sleeves, t shirts, and flyers. I love the Xerox machine with spot color approach to a lot of those graphics that married the rough and crude side of financial and artistic limitations with an intuitive and clever ability to craft subversive, eye-catching images. Some of the edges of this imagery and text are intentional, rough and imperfect… if slick and clean are your bag, you might want to skip this one baby! See if you can spot the references to musicians like the New York Dolls, Generation X, the Misfits, and the easy one… Joan Jett. If you DON’T know those musicians, you can thank me for opening a door for you, and in turn I say “thank you” to everyone who has opened my ears and eyes! - Shepard
