I agree. there is no need to number a fudge-ton of prints. I assume all of the "open" editions that have sold out were in essence just unnumbered one off print runs of <5000.spagucci1 wrote:Na... You could make the edition 1000 or even 1500 to make sure that everyone who wants one can easily obtain one, but the number is capped at a certain amount.

Why, thanks for asking us! I'd like to see a Peace Goddess. And are there going to be any new large formats in the future? Been a while since we've seen one...obeygiant wrote:Hello everyone!
We are going to produce a new offset. What image would you like to see as an offset?
As always, thank you for your support!

mr spray should be the one made into an offset... plus it would be easier to reconfigure to 24x36 from an 18x24 image without having to crop the original.

This suggestion is more for record keeping purposes. IMHO this helps provide clarity in an artist's body of work. Say OG chooses the Mujer Fatal image, and 30 years down the line a collector, gallery, or museum decide they would like to acquire a Mujer Fatal multiple. When they go to choose between the Silkscreen edition of 300, Letterpress of 450, or litho of say 3000 they can make an accurate purchase decision. If the edition is "open" they have no idea if only 100 were sold, making technically rarer edition, or if 10,000 were produced making it no rarer then a common poster. Plus it keeps galleries from doing the misleading edition description of "presumed small." Don't get me wrong, I respect the hell outta OG for doing these affordable editions.
