Lets Hammer Malleus
After 5 or so copies of a given poster is sold, they raise the price a bit. Then, after 5 or so more copies of the poster sells, they raise the price a bit again. So, after they sell say 20 of the poster, the price may be double what it was when it was first up for sale.bullelk wrote:I must be misunderstanding this "price increases as it sells out" idea.
Sorry if so.
I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.
Thanks.
if all artists/print houses used this system I'd probably have a harder time pulling the trigger on items.
Would be easier not to support on future projects too because of bad taste left from past poor experience.
I agree with what the person said earlier... it's own secondary market... And I dislike that.
As an artist I give a fudge how long it takes you to get my stuff and I'm happy if you do. You don't deserve a punishment for taking your time to decide.
However I'm not successful so who gives a drymount what I think, also to each their own.
Just saying I'm glad they aren't all this way.

If you like an artists work then you should want them to make as much money from it as possible, it helps funds more ambitious work and to live a more regular life
Malleus is like 3 people its difficult enough to make a living for one from posters, and why shouldn't the people who made and did all the work make more money from it versus some snot nosed brat who hoards it for a few weeks and then sells it on at a profit.

if the price was lower it would have sold out already, so you wouldn't have the option to buy the one you want at this point
They made it, they can sell it for whatever price they want, they don't owe you or me anything until we buy a print, their able to sit on those copies until someone wants it enough to pay that price or find it somewhere cheaper.
