Barring the sarcasm, these weren't numbered, so selling them to a pawn shop came with virtually no risk. That said, whoever owned them kept them framed where they got a little sun, which is less cool. In any case, not a big deal, like I said I got them for 15 and am happy to give them up should they actually turn out to be stolen.

They were $15 each or total? If each ....that seems about right for most of these right?

No, $15 for a framed set that runs around $150-200 here on EB. And if the pawn shop is selling that for $15, you know they only paid $5 (hell, the frame was worth more than $5)

I would say it probably as equally possible that someone picked up a drug habit and needed cash now as it was stolen. But either way, congrats on the find.

why do you assume they were stolen?
because they were framed and for sale in a pawn shop for $15?
couldn't it also be possible someone just....decided they didn't need framed pictures of random movie characters in their home anymore? and took them to a pawn shop to sell them?

Maybe they were stolen and maybe they weren't but this sure is a ton of grief to give someone who is only trying to do a good thing.

even if they were numbered, selling them at a pawn shop come with virtually no risk.

So i want to understand this scenario correctly, a burglar, broke into someone's house or car, had prior knowledge of pop culture art market, is looking around for valuable things to steal, see framed pictures of tyler stout handbills that are framed and goes....JACKPOT....takes them, keeps them framed, brings them to a pawn shop and gets less than $15 dollars for them and goes.....'damn crime really pays well, lets go see what other pop culture art i can steal from people in the denver area.'

or, is this scenario possible? someone....sold them at a pawn shop with other stuff?

i mean its a 'good thing' if they were stolen, but that is an assumption on his part. nice of you to consider that, but the reality is probably way less sensational.

so why doesn't stout work with mondo any more? any one know where the stout back to the future is?

If you had some framed stout handbills stolen
and given the price they went for, it's possible they were stolen, hence, again, the "if"

if you really want to pick apart what I said, maybe start with the first word

in any case, I guess I'll just hang this lightly sun-bleached stout set on my wall and forget about the whole thing, since you definitively know nobody wants these back, paul
