Okay look, in my defense I read all of this at 5:30 and that was after dealing with a screaming infant in the middle of the night!

But yeah, clearly he's just joking around. I think my excitement over another potential variant overrode my ability to process what he was actually saying.

I'd still buy it if he made it though.

Looking forward to all the new folks who complained about F5-ing for awhile during the HCG drop experiencing the existential horror of a Stout lotto for the first time.

Goonies, AOU and Alien posters, this kind of feels like it could be similar to the Drive/Attack the Block Lotto.

When I was a kid we had a VHS tape with Goonies recorded onto it... not sure where we recorded it from but it was definitely a copy and was not recorded off TV (no commercials) but the octopus was in it and I remember having the octopus discussion a million times back then when someone would come over and watch it or when I would go somewhere else and see their octopus-less version. I think it's very possible that some people have never seen a version without the octopus and assume it's always there (just like the other way is also true where some people have never seen the octopus).

First time I saw Goonies was on TV back when the channel that existed before the WB used to play the thing all the time along with Back to the Future, so I get where that nostalgia can come from.
