I wonder if there's any change the regular would be a timed edition, this movie being as popular as it is, and this particular print being as anticipated as it is. I'm sure I'm delusional.

Totally agree. The octopus kinda ruins it for me. Especially it being all front and center like that.

I'd be surprised since they already did a (three) timed editions this year, but a guy can dream.

If they were smart then the reg would be timed. This is one that will sell like crazy and if I were them I'd take advantage of it. That being said with the screening dates and all I can't imagine it being a timed edition.

It's not about being smart, it's about not necessarily being a viable option in terms of both licensing and printing. But hey, dream big...

So I'm guessing with the octupus that this is the variant? I imagine the reg might not have it.
Great classic look though but there's zero chance of me getting it.

Congrats to those who scored though.
Edit: sorry I now see that this is indeed the variant

It's hard for me to remember back to before the DVD where the octopus was a deleted scene, but wasn't there some octopus in the regular movie? Something like a tentacle or two vice a full on goofy octopus attack that was the deleted scene. I'm going to have to watch the movie now.

Update: just watched no octopus or tentacles in the movie, but data does mention that the "octopus was very scary" when the reporters ask them what happened at the end

Sweet buttery Jesus. This is such a home run. I am thrilled that I was completely wrong about how this would go down. Really curious to see the colors on the standard. I wonder how soon it will go up.
