Just saw the He-Man prints...are they going to be available through Nakatomi or should I order through Gallery 1988?

Well, I should have some on Nakatomi after the Gallery show comes down, but you really should order from the Gallery- I gets my monies either way, so there's no real 'loyalty' at stake. But yeah, you could always email me directly if you have a question.

Ok great...didn't want to add to the chaos of the Lost release in case you were bogged down in that still

Jon Smith emailed in a panic the other night- he loves Conan, and something had to be done.
This hilarious and timely silkscreen print is a send-up of the 1968 Esquire magazine cover featuring another beset-upon celebrity, Muhammad Ali-

Image
Now if we had to bet on a fight between the two now, I’d have to give it to COCO- he’s got the reach, if not the stamina.

Best part about this print? Look at the arrow feathers-

Image
Poor Conan- suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous mis-fortune at the hands of an employer he’s been good to for the better part of TWO DECADES.

Stay strong, COCO.

This 18×24 screenprint is numbered in an edition of 125.

Show your support and pick one up, AVAILABLE NOW in the Art Prints section of the Nakatomi Store.

Good stuff.
FYI.. The Ali photo is based on a painting of Saint Sebastian by artist Il Sodoma and the imagery was also used in REM's video for "Losing My Religion".

Hey- forgot to post this-

From the site-

"Jeff Kleinsmith is a designing MACHINE. After overseeing the look of SUB-POP records for the better part of a decade, how does he have ANY energy left to do the magic that he does?

Well, luckily, we were able to squeeze this great piece of art from his dessicated, designing husk.

“Hello” is an 18×24 5 color screen print, hand printed in the Nakatomi print labs, and individually numbered!"

Also, shirt!

I remember when the Esquire issue came out and the heat they took from the religious right. There was also a great deal of anti Ali people who jumped all over it. Amazing how times have changed.
