Isn't it similar to how angel Adams would number, but not put an 'out of' number on his photos, or are there 'out of' numbers too?Hellboy wrote:Classic Doyle bait and switch. The fact that this dude continues to number prints is laughable.
Well I'm annoyed.
Not that I planned on flipping the set or anything but when I buy something limited edition, I expect it to remain limited edition.
I didn't know he had a habit of doing this, lesson learned.

Come on guys, rule number 1 in this poster game. If it's a nakatomi/doyle release, there is ALWAYS a good chance it'll get reprinted

I learned that very early on back in '13jmagee87 wrote:Come on guys, rule number 1 in this poster game. If it's a nakatomi/doyle release, there is ALWAYS a good chance it'll get reprinted

Yeah, I don't see how anyone who isn't a 16'er is surprised or would be surprised. If it has any association with Doyle, it shall be reprinted. Buy it only if you're okay with that.

So this guy's ^ experience is common. Most of us didn't know at one point that Doyle reprinted things and learned our lesson. But for every one of us who feels this way, there are 50 people out there who will gobble up this crap and be a new fan for future releases. Of all the people who buy posters in this world, i'd say maybe 25% care if it is limited or not. As a businessman, it makes more sense for Doyle to keep doing reprints.HarpuaFSB wrote:Well I'm annoyed.

This is also a common scenario in business - if the businessman can just tamp his ethics and morality down real hard, and justify his actions by believing they are doing right by their families and employees, they can justify just about anything.
And let's not forget, there are 14, 15? pregnant women who work for Tim, and if he didn't do reprints, they would literally go hungry and most likely miscarry.
So before you judge, PLEASE think of all those unborn children.
Sure, you're irked by this...but are you as irked as the guy who bought this 2 weeks ago is going to be when he finds out?
