The Tim Doyle/ Nakatomi Art Thread
Really surprised this didn't sell out already: James O'Barr? Doing a print for Nakatomi? And it's only $40? Sheeeeeit.

"I say we let 'im go."
"NO!!!"

Indeed!! If that other Austin movie poster source would have these for sale, they would have lasted <1 minute.DrScott44 wrote:Really surprised this didn't sell out already: James O'Barr? Doing a print for Nakatomi? And it's only $40? Sheeeeeit.
Do movie credits and title text add that much to the desirability? (Serious question.)

I don't believe that O' Barr has any rights to the movie license. This is an approved art print based on the comic book character not the movie. I'm pretty sure that Edward R Pressman and Jeff Most own the movie characters and likenesses.PapaVo wrote:Indeed!! Understood. I was just wondering if that type of (printed) information makes people want movie prints more. e.g. Why these have not sold out yet?rubberneck wrote:I don't believe that O' Barr has any rights to the movie license. If more comic book fans new about it maybe it would sell out. Was it on any sites like Bleeding Cool or Comic book Resources?

+1 Crow. Love how there's just a smidge of color in the cat's eyes. No idea why it grabs me so much, but it does.
Dear anybody, please do a badass print of Rian Johnson's Brick. If necessary, I'll buy them all.

How is this still available? It's a screenprint of The Crow, done by the creator of The Crow, and printed by Nakatomi. This doesn't make any sense.

I wrestled with this before ordering it few minutes ago. No title and it is small. I met O'Barr 20 some odd years ago when I lived in Detroit. Nice fella and he is the creator of The Crow. Ended up having to buy it.PapaVo wrote:Do movie credits and title text add that much to the desirability? (Serious question.)
