Sorry, no offence intended. It is a nice picture though.

I am very happy about this year's bonus print. I never thought I'd have a DSO in my collection.

Off-topic, but Tranito what image is the source of your sig?

Feeling sorry for those that own DSO1. I do not own DSO1 but would be devastated if Dan created 2nd editions of the prints I do have from 05-07. No doubt most of us would be devastated if Dan created 2nd editions for any of his prints from last years sub.

However, given the iconic nature of DSO1, the extremely limited run and the problems with the blend, I have to believe that he truly felt strongly about making the print available to more people and took the opportunity to tweak the image utilizing techniques he's practiced since 2005. Perhaps someday Dan will clear the air.

That said, definitely a hard pill to swallow.

As has already been mentioned - Ghost Buddies '04 got a re-run, as it oversold initially.
So not the first reprint, per se.

you guys are funny

I am not going to get bent out of shape over this, thinking about selling everything I got anyway and moving on with life......

but second editions are bad for the industry, and stop bringing up value becuase that is not what it is about (not for Dan and not for the collector)

Dan has established himself as a fine art artist vs a commercial gig print artist

he is starting to show more and and more, selling originals for almost 5K

In the art world second editions are frowned upon regardless of the medium and if Dan wants to establish himself further in the art world beyond that of Ebeans he should resist the second edition......

An excellent point. I think at this point he's trying to do more shows and as long as he's doing what he loves then that's cool with me. :D

I understand that he's gotten better and am certain that the 2nd edition will look amazing, which is why I think it would be kind to offer a discounted (or free) copy of the 2nd edition to owners of the 1st. Demand provenance! Would be cool to have matching numbers.
