Roaming 1 would be my vote, I just like the skeleton over the dino.

This show really is kick ass. And it was great to see Dan again in person and chat with him.

He had the idea for the show shortly after his last G1988 show two years ago. Planning in full and executing it all happened this year.

Interesting note about the Ghosts of Memories series : Dan used old photographs for each of the GID/background layers, which breaks away from his norm of handdrawing everything. He thought that the juxtaposition of old photos, behind the hand-drawn non-GID elements in the foreground, was more poignant (than if both layers were illustrated). Such a great choice ( again , that Ghosts of Memories: Kitchener, Canada 1959 is one of my top two in the show – so good). All the other prints and GID layers in the show are hand drawn, by the by.
Thanks for the pics, midday! Yup, must have been a great show, Dan is super cool!

Gessobord is pre-gessoed wood panel. Gesso is like a thin acrylic white paint that makes the surface more stiff for painting. Gessobord is basically a fancy name for primed wood.

Thanks from me as well! These pics might sway me to go for a Ghost of Memories now. There are a few I really dig, just need to settle on one and pull the trigger.

Question... I grabbed one of the Growing Old APs at the 88 show and have no idea how to frame it with the deckled edge. I didn't see what 1988 did with their framed one.

Anyone have any ideas? Won't really fit into a 24X18 frame and I don't want to trim nor matte it.
