KAWS must be hurting or trying hard to find a way to be a relevant to the supreme generation. He sold a skin for Fortnite. Pretty low unless he is playing the long game.

Why is this low? Many music artist are doing this like Travis Scott. Seems like a logical step as he has done many releases of various forms with Travis Scott.

Real talk...

You're telling me if you were a very popular commercial artist where you've sort of hit a peak of what you want to do as a professional and someone comes along and says hey do you want to be exposed to our base of 250 million players where we promote the hell out of you and maybe you pick up some new fans that have never seen your work and ultimately build your empire more..you would say no this?

It's most likely free marketing before he releases a NFT. He's not hurting for marketing from all the hypebeast and social media stuff, but that's the "old school boomer physical collectors who don't understand technology". NFTs = less work and potentially more money. KAWS hasn't given a drymount about art for a long long time.

He certainly cares about other people's art. Duke has a pretty amazing collection.

Considering all the companions are made in China for a few dollars, he has to spend all that profit somewhere.

Never knew so many of you(I mean your kids) played fortnite. SUPREME 4 LIFE! I really thought KAWS was hurting with his Megoliths throughout the world. Fortnite is a POS game. Even the people that became famous from it dont want to be associated with it.

The big edition figures you buy and teapots are just ways for him to be in your home. Guy is succeeding apparently. :D I can't predict the future but I wouldn't buy those toys with the idea of reselling them. It's just more to say you have one and it being accessible.

I'm in a bunch of the FB groups and anytime he releases a new statue, you get 50 of the same comments about him being stale and all that and done with him...then he shows a picture of this amazing table and a new statue and its 200 comments of people excited to purchase the new statue and wanting a table.

Also, looked at his auction prices for paintings and all of them have been selling mid estimate or higher end of estimate. So thats def not hurting due to fortnite and toys. Last set of No Reply went for almost $110k.

Good for him. Challenge himself to go beyond just what everyone expects him to do. Shits boring to do the same thing over and over

Looks like t-shirts, pins and moveable cutouts......all probably made to order.

Not limited, I assume.....more like timed editions???
