Wow! Great buy and Corey's work rules. And yes, love is the right word. Dead sexy!

I find Penny's work very addictive also. I started with one piece and now I have eight... all within a year. plus, he's a great guy so supporting him and his work is great on multiple levels.

So happy to pick up the last sketch from Glenn Barr's show at CCM. I also am the first to take home a show piece since this was not framed.

pencil drawing i picked up a few years ago at an art show i set up in town, based on lyrics from songs. john (the artist) chose judas priest's "living after midnight", but based the image off of that "heavy metal parking lot" documentary. sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.

Please post if you have any of his worked framed! Would love to see some more Penny. Not enough love for him on eb.

Currently looking for more of his coins and possibly something new from his Moniker show in October. Addictive indeed!

As many of you know, my collection is taking on a new look. After adding pieces by HUSH, Faile, Supine, and Mcfetridge, I thought I was done for a while. But as so often happens, a painting crossed my path that I just couldn't stop thinking about. Titled Tract of Flight by Irish street artist Asbestos, this is a 20 x 11.5 painting of D*Face's hands on a piece of metal found in a field. Although he has all but disappeared for the last few years, Asbestos ranks near the top of my favorite street artists. Interestingly, I'm not quite as fond of the art by D*Face, but his hands are great. This piece, which is already framed, may be quite fragile, as it is subject to rust and will probably age much, much faster than other art. Rather than turning me off, I find this fascinating, and very much in the spirit of street art, which is not meant to stand the test of time. As long as it last for several years (and Asbestos did treat the metal to slow any oxidation), I think it will be a bang up piece.

Although it isn't in house, it should be here by the end of the week. I have to admit to being very nervous about the shipping for art that is this heavy and fragile. But if all goes well, I think it will make quite an impact.
