Thanks a lot treweman...

After seeing your pieces I decided to rekindle my interest in a Despain original and have contacted him to do a commission. Probably won't be done until next year, but the ball is rolling non-the-less.

i'm kinda shocked to see it's still available at papertiger for those interested : http://www.papertigerstore.com/products ... xiles.html
Since its one of his only limited edition runs and there are only x/25, decided to jump in...I like his work.

Somewhat reminds me of the covers of old sci-fi books back in the 1960-1970s that I used to read.

Nice +1

Let me add, that there are only two (2) left...

Just what was on the store page...
Tre Octo-Owl Painting...

8 5/8" x 11 3/4" Acrylic on Cherry Panel
Sealed with varnish

Thanks thirdeye. I like pretty much everything 64 colors do but I've been holding out on a painting until I saw one I really loved (and that I was fast enough to purchase). Now I'm glad I managed to be patient!

" ... on cherry panel ..." You know, I've often wondered what kind of wood artists use when they say they paint on wood. My pessimistic side figured it wasn't anything to write home about. But CHERRY! Damn, I'd advertise that as well. Don't have any idea if it really makes a difference, but I like the idea of an OG being painted on a really decent piece of wood.
