What was the first print that started your addiction?

I had been collecting posters from String Cheese Incident because I was working for them, but that was more because I wanted to own them for portfolio purposes. It wasn't until I saw Jermaine's Radiohead print that I felt that feeling of "I HAVE TO HAVE IT", which now is all too familiar.

Just wondering if there was a print that suddenly took you from the casual collector to obsessive addict? Show the print that took you over the edge!

I had some prints before this one but this was the first that I felt I absolutely had to have and it feels like I've been chasing "must haves" ever since.

I collected stuff quite a while before this, but this thing really made me get serious about it all.

This was the first print I had to 'hunt down' rather than just buying it direct from an artist or dealer. Also the first time I told my wife that she would be buying a print for me for my birthday!

I had some others before, but this is the one that my buddy came over and saw it framed and told me it was valuable. I was shocked and then started paying attention.

when i was a young punk on phish tour i used to try to keep my stubs and steal posters from shows. then one day i found out there were people who were seriously into this stuff. made me curious then i started getting into them for serious too. this is why about 50% of my posters look like garbage.

oops it was first print. im not really sure which one i started with, i started saving them from day one, but i didnt actually "collect" them until years later. so probably a poster from a post hiatus phish show was the first one i took seriously.

Saw {and bought} this one at the show itself and it was a quick slide downhill after that. Before I would only buy posters from shows I actually went to and really didn't know what an
"art print" was.

I started collecting WWI and WWII posters just out of high school around 1995, these two were my first ISOs in that genre:

Then I saw this huge (@ 3' X 5' ) movie poster and got into those for a while:

Then I found Fairey, which got me into gig posters and art prints:
