If you're gonna pull your dick out and try to show off, you better make sure your math is right before people point and laugh and you blame it on the "cold".

$450 + $25 shipping = $475. Not $500.

Only an idiot would sell this on eBay for $600. BUT, take your scenario and you make out with $47 for 15 seconds of work. I'll take it? OR, hold onto it for a year and sell for $1k like the other flag.

I thought the price was $475 instead of $450 so feel free to point and laugh at that. As far as only idiots selling at $600, stuff like that happens all the time (see MBW King or Hitchcock prints). I agree that it will do nicely in year or so assuming he doesn't recycle some version of the image.

Always wondered how licensing works with a print that has Marilyn, Elvis, Ali etc faces on it. Does anyone know if MBW would have to have a licensing agreement with the applicable estates?

I imagine fair use comes into play. Helluva stretch though applying it to mbw's halfassed gulag. Assume they'll be selling through Target once the "art" sham is no longer bought by the monied.

Thierry has no idea what licensing even means... that's why he gets sued for copyright infringement and loses:

2011 sued by photographer Glen Friedman

2013 sued by photographer Dennis Morris

2013 sued by estate of photographer Jim Marshall

ironically, MBW tried suing the Life is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas for copyright/trademark infringement and was not successful in doing so
http://cdas.com/life-is-beautiful/

and the company that puts on that festival is now seeking nearly $2 million dollars in fees from MBW since his suit was thrown out in court by a judge:

Anybody with $50 can file a lawsuit. That doesn't mean they have a legal argument. I think these types of lawsuits are typically decided less on the facts than they are on on the judge/venue.

When Google won the lawsuit allowing them to profit from and claim ownership of essentially every book on the planet by scanning the books electronically, that made a lot of people who make a living by ripping off other people's ideas very very happy.

It's "transformative". Even just copying a photo and writing something like "lels" on it would constitute "fair use".
