This one is clearly a tribute to the film Amour. The father on the right is about to HAADDUKEN!! his Alzheimer's addled wife on the left while their daughter(standing center) tries to intervene with the mother gently raising her left arm to let her know that every thing will be OK.

I don’t “get” STIK or Eine, but its weird because lately ive been fixated on buying some of their prints. I don’t know what it is about their work, but I love it. That’s what I don’t get.

Aaron Horkey (I get that he's a great illustrator, but I dont get all the love for the guy. I do like his true grit print, but thats the only one). He's make a great tattoo artist, but I'll never get his pelicans, sting rays, horseshoe crabs, and bird with helmets.

Growing up for me, Thrasher was THE mag and Pushead was THE artist so loving Horkey was a natural when I got into the art game. That said, I can see how his subject matter might not turn everyone's worm. You can't deny his incredible talent, however. Dude's got some innate brilliance when it comes to graphite, pen & paper...

Jay Shaw you mean? Yes, people collect his stuff. And the people that were REALLY into him bought into his subscription, then got about half what was promised. Now he's Brand Director at Mondo! Yay!

It's fine, but I'm not a big fan of such busy art. Same reason I don't go for most Welkers. Certainly prefer his movie prints to his art prints though.
