I have really slowed down with buying art. I'll still buy something if it's amazing or an original I can't pass up, but I have a lot more than I can handle right now.
In terms of buying behaviour, I have a lot of things I haven't used yet, which I think is OK. As long as I use them within the same year that I buy them or if they're backups for things that I wouldn't want to not have for a few days (like headphones or shampoo). I also love getting things in the mail. I'm buying less items throughout the year and keeping them relatively small, so I'm not spending as much but I still get a mail buzz.
If you have loans, stop collecting as much as you're collecting right now and pay all that back first.
