eBay Counterfeit Seller?
I've reported this seller multiple times... selling countless rock posters ripping off the artists work! I didn't know what else to do besides emailing all the individual artists whose works have been stolen/reproduced. Any suggestions on what else to do? What do you thing Ebeans?
Here is a link to seller page... if you scroll through you'll get sick to your stomach at all the great art this chode flipping

I mean... None of us do anything. The copyright holders are the ones who would complain.

As far as I can tell.......as long as you call it a "reproduction" on ebay, you can pretty much rip off anything

and my understanding is for something to be copyrighted........it has to be published in a book, media, etc.
I'm probably totally wrong, but that's what I've been told by a few artists who have had books published.

kind of makes sense - so in essence, these books also help protect the images and artists welfare
world has a LONG way to go with internet regulation and enforcement, long long long long way to go ...how many kids are being killed by a fentayle click to purchase each day ....and still basically zero enforcement
I see a deterioration in society occurring

That's wrong. The creator of a work has copyright in their "work" the moment it is "recorded" in a medium of recording. If I write a poem on toilet paper i have the copyright in the poem.jojobadass wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 11:13 amand my understanding is for something to be copyrighted........it has to be published in a book, media, etc.

You may thinking about Federally registering a copyright. Not required to have a copyright, but it makes it easier to enforce certain damages on infringers.

Torn here...just lost a wu tang in checkout. Magically disappeared in the cart. Maybe the limited avaialability causes the poster need...I get both sides but sometimes could not care at all when the artists and companies involved in selling the prints make life a pain in the neck.

The side that doesn’t involve stealing art.
