I am excited to launch this poster. I find it increasingly difficult to promote something and have the fans see it. It seems if you are not a HUGe or connected to a Mondo or Bottleneck, it can often fall on deaf ears. I have an extensive illustration portfolio but this is my first foray into movie posters, I have made a ton of merch for bands and the WWE . Including gig posters for Slayer, A Perfect Circle and Soundgarden.

I know enough to know that I am in over my head in the movie poster game, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

First off, I dont know a damn thing. I checked out some of your work and it is very reminiscent of a couple established artist. If you told me some of your art was theirs, I would believe you. Not that you need to change style or anything, but that your work is on par as a professional.

Specifically this print, too much white space. The white could be cropped off and move Mike to the right. The bush highlights make it appear square and flat. I do really like how you imbedded the title vertically and the color palette you chose. Also dig the choice on the variant to use transparent metallic over the orange.

I cant art - take what I say lightly.

Have you ever hit up spoke art? They do a lot of shows with all types of artist. Maybe hit up ISH. I could see him digging your style.

Ok. Well I am an established artist already with many high profile clients. All what you have mentioned artistically was done on purpose. This scene is based off my favorite scene from the movie.

I called you a professional. I told you I looked at all the work you talked about. Let me rephrase, "like established artist(in movie print world)".

Your Cornell Santa Barbara print is top notch.
Most definitely established.
Fortunate to own one.
And I dig negative space… it suits no purpose to fill everything in just to fill it in. But it either works, or it doesn’t I guess.
When I think of negative space this Malleus gem pops into my head. Love this print.
Best of luck mate…

Thanks! Also, that print is great.

I did this A Perfect Circle gig poster that used a good mount of negative space as well.
