Are you 100% sure it is a painting?
There are silkscreen prints on linen, this looks like it could easily be one of them.
Here is another, you may have seen it on your online searches already, but for the sake of the forum:

Sorry to be the bubble-burster, but I reckon you have a silkscreen print on linen, not a painting.
Nice piece, nonetheless. Value? Probably couple of hundo $.
Edit to add: Look on eBay also, there have been some prints recently sold there - dating back to '84/'86/'88, they were generally larger prints, signed & numbered in runs of 200 or 250.
