StockX Getting Into Art Reselling
So StockX sent out an email earlier today saying they basically entered the art print reselling market.
Art Prints are here! You can now Buy & Sell limited edition Art Prints from your favorite artists including Shepard Fairey, KAWS, Murakami & Nara.
Looks like they're basically adding more stuff manually as demand increases. Do you guys see this as a boon or bust? Will there be more hypebeast resellers buying Fairey's that then quit once they realize they're only breaking even once the fees kick in? Should I use the service to sell the lady friend's recently found Obama posters from 2008 she got while working for the campaign?

Good luck with the quality of a print after Stock X has 'Inspected' it for authenticity....

I've been selling on stockx for years, the more things they add the better. It's a superior experience for the seller vs ebay or Amazon. Can't speak to the buying experience, but once I get paid can't say I care either. Stockx makes it so you don't have to, it's liberating.
sold a bunch of shoes on StockX over the past couple years, haven't tried to sell a print.
$$ in PayPal fast once they verify. StockX takes 13%, no extra shipping or PP fees (all baked into that 13% vig).
The Asks for prints seem kinda high from what I've seen, not many sales.
Anyone sell or buy a print yet?

I get my money from stockx within a couple of hours of the package hitting the scanner at ups.
No charge backs, no returns... Where can you go wrong really? Plus it's not just prints and sneakers, there's a load of other item types. Highly recommended.
If you don't know, you should!

They should have lower fees if they want to compete, not the same. The only positive would be payment when item is scanned. If this company can do payouts that way, ebay sure as hell can too. Ebay would rather scam a couple days for interest. Regardless ebays market size dwarfs stockx. The difference between shouldnt be pulling hairs. If they offered flat 10% no extra 3% bs they would have a much larger space. Hell even drop it lower to get people in the door. They need to find a way to entice people into making an account, not running me off at the FAQ page.ygolohcysp wrote: ↑Sun Aug 22, 2021 3:02 pmI get my money from stockx within a couple of hours of the package hitting the scanner at ups.

You mean the only positive besides no charge backs and no returns right? They have eBay beat by a mile being the middle man to confirm authenticity and condition.lebantz wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 5:29 pmThey should have lower fees if they want to compete, not the same. I want to open a return and if that doesn't work I'm just going to charge it back.
Good luck selling your certified fudge boxes though Maybe you can get them listed?

Oh hey that's another AWESOME thing about stockx, you never have to create a listing! Just find your item and set your price.
