I don't know what price your stuff is selling for, but for my art purchases from UK/EU that are over $500, I'm commonly spending ~$150 for overnight FedEx and it's more than worth it to me. I have a cheaper original that is stuck in USPS custom hell in Chicago and a bunch of travel coming up...so who knows when it will get released and get delivered/stolen from my front door.TimothyPDoyle wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 11:23 pmWe were able to get a custom 22" tube size out of ULine that fit our bill- only slightly more expensive than the size we were ordering (Double-walled Telescoping 3x25 tubes w/ metal endcaps). That allows us to ship our 18x24's without any upcharge on the postage side- and the 24x36 prints ship in our 4x30" tubes with only the $4 upcharge. (totally avoiding the dreaded $15 charge).
My question tho- how the heck is anyone able to service Australia and NZ now? It costs over $100 to ship a tube down under on USPS?

But I’d be careful with that 4 x 30. We actually left usps due to it. Customers got hit with the $15 surcharge. They have to pay it on delivery.
Doyle and Uline. There's a match made in heaven.

Dats cuz theyre bigger than 30”. That’s the usable length not actual.

Also it's really surprising to hear that USPS is charging the customers being delivered to instead of the person that bought the postage. I thought we lived in modern times and that's certainly the way they've been doing it for the last 5-6 years.

Right which is insane for a company like bng or nakatomi. They don't buy stamps and put them on the tube, they purchase commercial postage which comes with a billing agreement. Filling out that piece of paper and putting the onus on the receiver is unreal. Just bill the sender, USPS has never had a problem doing this to me
ah he makes his own? got it.
Its actually both. We've been hit on the report for extra charges (incorrect weight or size) but the week they added the surcharge, it hit a few customers and they emailed us. I'm not sure if its like the slip above they got but it was def the surcharge for the tube. I wonder if it depends on what station it hits? I seriously have no clue. Also it's really surprising to hear that USPS is charging the customers being delivered to instead of the person that bought the postage. Wonder what FantasticNinjas take on all of this is."The U.S. has two big problems:
• Publicly-held companies are too concerned about
their stock share price, and they are frozen when it
comes time to reinvest in new equipment and update
their plants. My opinion.
• Baby boomers have sold too many companies
to hedge funds that can really suck the life out of
them and pile on debt.
"America First" was President Trump's policy. He made
his moves to lower taxes, increase tariffs, renegotiate
new trade deals, support immigration laws, stop
endless wars and stop America from paying the
lion's share for everything, especially NATO. I am a
believer in these policies, but they take time.
Then Trump lost.
Now we have the Democrats coming in and, surely,
they will have a different policy than "America First."
The problem is, how are we going to compete?
We need a clearly defined policy and time to
make it work."
