2015?
Tim didn't recall much of the film so I suggested the vast majority of imagery you see, save for the giant female member of Griff's gang, who is clearly a main character and very memorable.

Tim still sells this print on his site, 10 years later, for $40.

Yes. That's exactly what happened here.

^ It is.

Is it weird that we quoted that post at exactly the same time in different threads? More signs.

STOP REPRINTING!
No.

----

Sid- I'm trying to engage in a clear and transparent, all cards on the table discussion.
You're being very insulting.
If there was a block/mute button here, I would use it.
I am truly sorry that the way I handle my own artwork bothers you. I never want anyone to come away hurt or angry in dealing with me. At the same time- it's my art, my business, and I have to do what works best for me.
Honestly- if it wasn't for keeping my work in print- we would not have been able to weather the pandemic like we did. All our big tour series contracts dried up, gallery shows stopped happening, conventions and consignment/ wholesale slowed down considerably.
But we were rather lucky- we didn't have to let anyone go at our shop or give anyone a pay cut. We were very fortunate in that regard. And my work, being in print, and my team keeping it rolling off the presses- helped see us through. I'm very, very thankful for all the customers we have that continue to support us.
Tim, you are avoiding answering the hard questions.

I am trying to be as polite as I possibly can but have you ever thought of the years you have been insulting me/us/the community through your practice? Don't forget I tried to have this conversation privately with you and if you were humble enough, you would have had it out with me there.

If there was a block button for you in our community of print and poster collecting, I would use it.

Thats whats wrong with you, everything is about YOU YOU YOU. Selfish. Think of the people who supported you immensely through the years like me, no matter if I may be a 1$ or 1000$ contribution.

I don't see the connection of the basic fact of making limited released unlimited pre pandemic having to do with keeping afloat during a pandemic??
Please don't think you are the only special one affected by this pandemic. Everyone has taken a hit in some way or the other. You don't see others resorting to what you are doing to stay afloat. Everyone finds a way, its all about the one you choose. Its always been about choices and the impact they have on others instead of just thinking about YOURSELF.

No point continuing this as you deflect away from what you don't have the courage to answer. That is fine. I have said enough.
Sid- I'm not deflecting.
I released prints. I didn't know if I was going to print more or not, as I had previously. They were marketed as being a limited edition. That edition was limited.
Then I made more editions, as I had with prints previously.
I don't really owe you anything beyond that.
If you would like to block me- you could always just stop seeking me out.
I'll stop responding to you now. If you want to keep at it, you can. But I'm done.

While I would greatly debate your account here- as it is a pure fabrication, at the end of it all- the copyright of the artwork remains with me. There were no rights transfers to you.
There was no agreement made other than posters would be delivered for your charity event.
So no, I will not be paying you residuals for describing a movie that I had seen several times- to me.

This is an important lesson to everyone who commissions artists- unless you have a work for hire contract, or an agreement in place- just because you pay someone to create something for you- that does not mean that you own the reproduction rights, or a royalty stake to it.

Also- I must say, if someone is constantly saying "I commissioned Tim Doyle to do a print, and here is the print, and my face name is on the print" can it really be 'doxxing' if I were to say "this person on this print is who commissioned me"?

That is...quite the assertion. If you don't want to be 'outed' maybe don't...out yourself?
