My shoe flipping son let me in on this bit of news that will have lasting implications on print resale. There are pros but a lot more cons to this. I'll just leave this here.

*MODS please leave this in Art Discussion because it will definitely have a long term affect on Obey print prices going forward... burger money flippers, I give you... StockX https://help.stockx.com/s/article/Art-P ... uage=en_US

more of a need to authenticate sneakers than prints = red tape, should be optional

How well does X authenticate refunds when X damages the print? :D

StockX recommends that all sellers ship their prints in the same packaging they received their prints from the artist or gallery.

Right, because most artists and galleries do such a good job.

Dudes I've sent half a dozen kaws lithos into stockx over the last 6 months. Every one of them was damaged. Got paid on all.

You mean they damaged them during authentication?

So you send a print to them and they sell it? And they act as some sort of coa for the buyer?

What’s their vig? I have a hard time believing ya get top dolla there anyway since they’re constantly showing what the last one of something sold for. Might be good for a quick dump tho.

No all my lithos are damaged. Min one solidly crunched corner, probably picking up creases when they unroll it, this paper is so thin you look at it and it crumbles. I can't imagine the buyers are happy? But that's on stockx.

It's about the same as ebay fee wise except: stockx sends you a label to ship the item, you don't pay. Stockx is not going charge back. You will never hear a gd word from any customers because they're stockx's customers, not yours. It's the drymounting holy land honestly, at least if you're a seller.

They have graphics cards too! Load up the bot and drop the boxes off at UPS when they show up. Easiest money eva.

Today the sale I did was finally completed and approved. That said, since my account is level 4, I got my payout weeks ago, after the initial UPS scan. Everything was smooth. Love it.
