Pricing is ridiculous. There is no reason why some things are priced the way they are. If an artist sells something for $40 for their first release, their next release shouldn't be $1k. Even though this market makes absolutely no sense sometimes (XRP is currently over $1 again), natural growth is still needed or there will be a massive pullback.
On NG alone you could see the secondary on a majority of recent sales drop by as much as 30-40% and with an exception to a few new releases, they aren't matching anywhere near the February peaks which I feel like we all knew would happen. Again anything is possible but not sure how you could sustain that especially when most likely there is a high ratio of resellers vs buyers.
In regards to the Top Shot chart - I rarely collect so I can't comment too much but wonder if that chart started decreasing when they started increasing their pack editions. It seems like they are now catering to almost 40% of ppl waiting in line.
Also, the general crypto market is killing it right now so a lot of money I'm assuming is getting put into that again.
the increase in quality as more traditional and successful artists enter the space driving down the hype on these old school crypto artists
its funny because i actually think the opposite. I think while those artists are definitely bringing attention to the market (which is a great thing - more eyes), that whole market knows when ppl are just trying to cash grab and throwing up a jpeg compared to someone who puts time into a piece. I don't think someone Hirst will be become a regular NFT artist compared to someone like Hacktao or Pak and they will be the ones that will be here to stay and grow while others just leave.
You're gonna flip out when you discover iPads
