It's Arsham so ya know it's gonna be ridic.
WTF is Crypto Art?
Yeah I'm not buying it, but the concept behind it seems years beyond what other nfts I've seen. I have technical questions regarding it but I'll wait until more is known.

Oof. One of my fav artist is putting out some NFTs, and I’d like to support even though I’m still in the NFTs are a grift camp, but the one I like is “limited” and way more than Id be willing to spend.

This kind of work is the tip of the iceberg. Imagine all uniquely identified screen media being minted as long as it’s in demand. One gimmick market may be NFT’s that have value attached that isn’t part of the blockchain, but later might be under vendor contract. Might be a gamble of getting a random live piece from the cameras of a basketball game, a partially published set of clues to find real hidden treasure (this has been done in analog in children’s books), a drone feed from certain locations… there’s a lot to explore that sound crazy right now. The NFT market may fill up way past what many think it will, as long as it’s a worthwhile exchange of wealth.

IMO this market is generally short term investment and may hop from product class to product class as all collectible markets do, save for brilliant and popular works in a rinse and repeat cycle. It looks far different from mining and investing in something this understood and curious than BTC in the early 2010’s. That kind of holding now yields unbelievable amounts today based on a long term understanding of utility and firm beliefs in secure value, etc. I’m waiting to see if these things happen with NFT’s, a gold standard that lives among alts and a similar formation of a market. There seems to be an underlying feeling in social media that it’s starting as a cash grab rather than an open source exciting new and strange idea. Given how many options there are in types of product, rather than white papers and dedicated developers, hmm. I’m not an expert, but am formulating opinions.
