It is possible they are flipping to each other just to inflate prices in the hope that someone who isn't "in the game" buys one at a very high price?

There is definitely a ton to unpack in this market. I mean I have been in the crypto world for 8 years or so and honestly, I am still wrapping my head around most of it.

One of the key pieces that people tend to forget is that the creator gets a royalty fee on all secondary sales (on most marketplaces). So when an artist sells a piece for $50 and then 6 months later it is selling for $1k+... they are getting 10% or so on every secondary sale. Now personally I think that is badass.

With the explosion happening right now, artists would be insane not to venture into this world. So keep an eye out, because more and more are going to start flocking and making $$$.

One more note - the instant flipping sitting on your butt makes me never want to deal with wasting time on physical flips again!
Blessing and a curse. I think they're trying to find a way to write it on there but it can't leave the site for the royalty to happen.

That could very well happen. There are lots of people out there right now with bitcoin bucks that can "control" a new market.

Same happens with the the stock market as we have seen.

I see a few guys on NG buying up all the large margin items catching all the low prices on an item thus making the next available item at a really high price.

What is nice about NG is that you can see where the sales are going. So if a particular item switches hands between 2 members a few times, you can see all those transactions and see if any shilling is going on.

The only bad thing is that it puts a hold on your cc. One night I got really drunk and just started just flinging out offers left and right.

I hit on a couple of those OG rings for $40-60. (Which I quickly flipped for 3x thinking they wouldnt be good hodlers.)

The next day I see like 50 holds on my CC!! I was like what the drymount did I do last night??? :D

It is pretty funny seeing artists posting stories looking for NFT help all of a sudden tho.

Olly Moss would kill this market. He was doing some 3D stuff at one point and seemed like he was looking for a new challenge.

Olly would def kill it. Thought of him many times doing it.

Also, to add on, its not always the most lucrative thing. So I wouldn't start buying everything NFT related. It depends on what sites you goto that there is a chance of a secondary market.

Agreed. I suggest to anyone looking to even dip their toes into the market is start following the NG drops and familiarize yourself with artists. But I love MakersPlace because a ton of great work with a lot of artists still under the radar.

Although I have noticed a serious uptick there over the last week or so.
