Hi all.
I just received my first print that is an Artist Proof. It's signed and has "AP" instead of the number, purchased directly from the artist.
In general, does the Artist Proof have more value than a numbered print or is it usually the same?
As far as an EB listing goes, would this be added as a version other than 1st edition, like a variant or would it fall under 1st edition?
Artist Proof
Some artists number the AP series while others just put AP as the one you received does. I don't think APs have move value than the numbered edition though there are those here that do, I wouldn't pay more for one. On EB the APs are normally listed as a separate class, like a variant.

At least it’s not about heavy duty kitchen equipment or postal codes. Whatever happened to that dude?
I wouldn’t pay more for an AP either. Maybe, and it’s a maybe, if the regular run wasn’t signed, I would pay a few dollars more for a signed AP.

sorry I looked but couldn't find this topic anywhere! In my case, the artist was doing a virtual comic-con sale of some artist proofs of prints that weren't previously available. so maybe it's possible others were doing this recently?

Always go for signed APs rather than a regular run that is just numbered.
