Is Everyone in the Facebook Print Groups Angry and Bitter?
Not sure what the deal is there but they seem to be filled with bitterness, unfunny irony and smarm. I joined a lot of them years ago and don't remember them being such shitshows initially but its like everyone is competing at being the bigger asshole.
As an exception the specific artist related ones seem less toxic. But the big groups are where the worst fudge seems to end up.

That's the unfortunate reality. It amazes me that people are proud to have their names next to some of the things they say

The big groups also bring out the dumbest people, so it's like a moth to the light for sarcastic and mean spirited members.
The biggest idiots tend to burn bright and flame out. Some folks just need lots of attention to validate themselves, even if that means constant fudge posting or putting down others.
When I'm done ranting about elite power that rules the planet under a totalitarian government that uses the media to keep people stupid, my throat gets parched. That's why I drink Orange Drink. - BH

I would say its the same there as it is here. The loudest voices are the people that are in the hobby 24/7. They comment on everything evening if its just a gif/pun/inside joke. They are looking at the same stuff everyday so they get tired of new people or people they think are beneath them and they post things that they think is funny...but its basically gatekeeping.
Many people that have already posted in this thread fit that model.
Some may say I fit that model, and if I am...sorry Ill work to be better.

Yeah its weird. A lot of people in the groups are very presumptive. I had a job back in 2016 that basically made it impossible for me to get on Facebook and so I got out of the habit of visiting not only Facebook but those groups and even when I was in them wasn't posting every day.
There's people in those groups who didn't start collecting screenprints until 2015 and they talk to me as if I wasn't hammering up gigposters in college in 2003 and while I realize that still may not make me an old timer, I knew about screenprints prior to their primary use as Alien art.
FB groups are basically a larger scale version of this place years back at the height of Mondo - got the same emotional extremes but with more instant responsiveness because it's more easily accessible. Same as it ever was.
