INTO THE WOODS
Eight hundred years ago, the Charter Of The Forest gifted public access to Britain’s woodlands, to be used and enjoyed by all. Marking this anniversary, and celebrating 75 years of the University of Oxford’s Wytham Woods, the exhibition Into The Woodlands at Oxford’s Natural History Museum features woodland-influenced work by Robert Macfarlane and Stanley Donwood in collaboration with permanent resident-artists and creators of the Wytham Woods Studio, Robin Wilson and Rosie Fairfax-Cholmeley. The exhibition runs until 3rd June 2018.
The Slowly Downward Manufactory has opened an internet outlet wherein a selection of Stanley Donwood's prints have been made available online. These works were inspired, in one way or another, by time spent in many different woodlands.
