Artists that are Too Hyped
Just curious and know this is a very opinionated group.
Who do you all think are a little too hyped right now. Too hyped where flippers are taking away from collectors more so and not selling well, going to end up like the Hugh Scott-Douglas piece.
I list these as I see their work fly off shelves then sit on ebay or in auctions at way too high a price. The last Conor piece there are 7 or so not selling some not too much more than sale price.
- Conor Harrington
- Mr Brainwash
- Retna
- Faile
- Fairey
Invader and Pejac seem to sell fairly well but hit a point where too high now. Invader pieces to me are crazy for simple tile work and wonder when will crash.

This THREAD is Too Hyped and the OP is a very well-crafted alt.

Just trying to stimulate a conversation that does not revolve around concert and movie posters, my bad.
Not blaming whitefish. He is a talentless junkie hack who gets way to much attention and is OVER-hyped IMO.
