Thought I'd start a topic for Mad Duck posters so we can discuss some of their releases.

Anyone pick up any of the recent Hitchcock releases? I got Rope by Jack Durieux in and I really dig it.

YES! I didn't pick up "Rope," but I got all da versions of "The Man Who Knew Too Much" by Jack Durieux and the entire set from my FAVORITE Hitchcock film, "The Trouble With Harry" by David Merveille.

I also picked up the Florey "How to Train Your Dragon" prints, both versions, too.

Thankful to Mad Duck for getting posters out there for some of the less-represented Hitchcock movies. Bought Durieux's Rope regular and TMWKTM variant. Also got Burton's Vertigo variant. Wish I could see one of those purple versions in person.

I really want to grab one of those Re-Animators, but I don't have the extra cash right now. Maybe around October...

I didn't like the colors on Rope or its variant (I read on facebook that Jack is color blind. Is that true?)

Somebody was selling the 'vip' variant on facebook though and I really dig those colors (purple and blue). Print looks great in person and it'll complement LD's Rear Window variant. Pleasant surprise. (Was that not available to the public? What do you have to do to be a vip?)

As much as I'd like to like 'em, I don't care for those Man Who Knew Too Much prints. Prices are too high for a print that's just so-so. Cool to see other Hitchcock movies being represented besides the same handful that are done to death though.

edit- Here's a pic of that Rope

There is a mad duck group that does pre-sale type deals where if you join early (sometimes before the art is finished, like a commission) you have access to a "VIP" variant

the VIP variants situation is odd and confusing.

one of those prints that anyone with ocd couldnt own. the cage bothers me. assuming its from a bottle of wine/champaign, and has been removed, the wiring would be unraveled. i understand it plays into the title and artwork, but it would never be in that stage if it had been removed from a bottle. $.02
