if rob is reading this... how did you get to show this detail? Was it a double hit of the brown colour?
That's the guy from the "In jail" square from Monopoly...

Damn, I wish I could remember more of the hidden things from these posters....when I bought the set Rob pointed out some of the things he put in them as he signed each print.....some are obvious some not so obvious...
nice catch! i was thinking it was something to do with the devil, but the monopoly jail thing is way better.

I was hoping more people here would start to notice the cool details in Jones' stuff. Many of these prints you can find something new each day..... So sick and tired of hearing "WOW. Look at EMEK and the skulls he hides in the clouds! So awesome!" Awesome is so relative.

the detail on the hat... i've seen that symbol before... i might have been an old symbol on the periodic table of elements... dont' know which element (I'll guess aluminum...)

the ace is on the skeleton's sleeve.

the bottom of the providence poster says "XVII" which is 17... for those who play blackjack, that's the tough hit... too low to win vs. the dealer, but high enough you'll probably bust.

i don't know what the PRO 28:22 means, though its probably out of the bible. proverbs?

there is also a symbol on the guy's ring, a plus sign with half a heart. that is also a medieval symbol of some element as well. here's the picture:

i know the symbol in the ring appears on another print as well... but i can't think of it right now.

here's the one more:

Proverb 28:22-He that hasteth to be rich [hath] an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.
Just googled it.

What's interesting is that the things Rob puts in have a meaning to the theme of the poster and not just a random object...I guess that's why his posters are some of the coolest around....

Also, the dealer has to hit on a "soft" 17...

One who is greedy will try to get rich quick and doesn't stop to think that by trying to get rich quick, he may actually bring about his own ruin.

jodeci78 wrote:okay, i think i figured out how he does those 'invisible details'. most of the prints have the dark brown overprinting the copper. areas that he wants to show little items, have the copper knocked out of the dark brown, so when the brown ink lays down on top, it looks more 'matte'.

here are the ones that i found on the providence one...

Proverbs 28:22
A man with an evil eye hastens after riches,
And does not consider that poverty will come upon him.
