I know there a few poster shops in New York City that sell to customers, but does anyone know if there are any that buy from customers? I'm moving very soon and would love to get a bunch out of my collection as quick as possible.

I know it's kind of a shitpost.35mmpaul wrote:Great first post.
At least I've been on the site for a while????
as far as what kind...mostly 2003 PJ posters, also some JR, Hampton, a Jay Ryan and a few randos.
I think Ebay is your best bet man. Don't know a local place that buys gig posters.

Had a feeling. Thought maybe Generation Records and there used to be that place on 8th street, but I think they're long gone. Thanks for the input.35mmpaul wrote:I think Ebay is your best bet man. Don't know a local place that buys gig posters.
I mean...you gotta think that a place specializing in purchasing that stuff specifically is gonna have very little consistency...
eBay or craigslist are the best bets for that in bulk.

Anywhere that even might buy them would give you way less than eBay since they'll be looking to turn around make a profit on them as a business. Best bet is eBay. You could also post in Lost Dogs on the PJ message board.

You could always rent a space and do a pop up show.
Do a little advertising and open up for a day/weekend, put everything you want to move on the walls. Let people come view and buy what they want. Brooklyn is crawling with temp event space at cheap rates right now. Or see if one of the galleries would work with you to do the same thing in their space.
I'd definitely check something like that out.
