A long shot I know but I don't suppose anybody on here knows if these were published pieces?
Bought them off Peter Haining's son who believes they may have featured in one of his fathers books.

That does not look like Steadman's style but ask Joe Petro III, he will know.

I was thinking that this reminded me of Scarfe as well...

It does look like early Steadman with some Scarfe elements....I know those two were pretty active around the same time in the same area, so maybe some influence or nod perhaps?

Love the two pieces..

As far as I am aware they were best friends (which is understandable why common interests, styles or political issues at the time would reflect in both their works)until Ralph's ex wife accused Scarfe of plagiarism.

After some investigation work, it would appear these pieces were done by the late great Willie Rushton.
Even had Ralph thinking they were his from the 50's.
So the search for a Steadman original continues.

I told you they weren't RS. I own quite a few of his works in original and in print. I have extensively done research on him!

Good luck with your search!
