I'd highly encourage anyone that likes Ise's work to join this group. Lots of info on current and upcoming projects, discussion about her work, and concept sketches for all her commissions completed thus far. Lots of exciting stuff in the works for her.Bikejoh wrote:A few of us made a fan group on facebook where anything and everything Ise will be discussed much more actively than this thread. Anyone is welcome to join!

Looks like she's stopped doing unlicensed commissions. None of the current galleries like Mondo or HCG have a problem with their artists doing unlicensed commissions. Vance Kelly and Eng both do those places and do tons of commissions with no problems. I know there are several folks planning on opening their own licensed galleries pretty soon. Guess when we see which one releases something from her first we'll probably have a good idea who she got her aversion to unlicensed big studio movies from.

She's still doing commissions, just no unlicensed ones for Disney and Warner Brothers, including their subsidiaries: Pixar, Marvel, Lucas Films, DC Comcs, New Line Cinema, HBO Films, Castle Rock, etc. Companies that fall under those major two are a no go, but she's still doing work for lots of other properties. Luckily there are plenty of other films and properties to choose from that aren't included in those, but a few that were planned had to be changed because of it.PepsiPerfect wrote:Looks like she's stopped doing unlicensed commissions. Yeah, but she did say that a "strict gallery" told her not to do anything from those properties and I can't think of one current gallery that holds anyone to all that.

I don't know the gallery (or galleries) she is working with, or about their contracts with her, but I know she's just covering her bases and just wants to be careful with the commissions she's taking on. I can understand why she doesn't want to take on unlicensed work that is owned by these huge companies, especially if she's been hired to do official projects for them. I imagine it's pretty intimidating and worrisome for her. Maybe in time she will change her mind about the projects she's had to cancel. But anyway, I was just clarifying the first sentence from your post. It just sounded to me like you were saying she was done with any unlicensed commissions ever.
