I voted for Faile since Vhils wasn't on the list. His show Dissection looked incredible and he put in some serious work on walls this year.

Durieux hands down.

Pulp Fiction
Forbidden Planet
Back to The Future
Birds
Wonderful Life
Zephyr
Journey to the Center
Godfather
Rear Window

The guy had a busy year.

Taylor, Whalen, Delort, Eng all had a fabulous year as well.
by Codeblue

But he LOVES the show Big Brother, and premixed margaritas in foil packs.

or are we taking into account gallery shows, work on walls, etc?

different animals

phlegm started the year with some great installations and has had some solid wall work, although i think his print leaves a bit to be desired.
conor harrington's show was a bit of a mixed bag for me, although i think ian francis showed very well @ laz like one of alittle's wines.
IK and etam cru really put themselves on the map with some absolute stunner walls, but no big shows to speak of, and only a few prints that havent really taken off around here.
maya hayuk had a bit of a break thru year, tho i just dont understand that myself. sam friedman as well, though i think his work is great.
horkey released a bunch of old fudge
roa had more killer walls as always, but has never released a print so will never be in the categories the way it is set up...
adam neate put himself back on the map with a great show and some interesting releases.

a lot of gig poster artists had tremendous years, which shows in the polls and around the forum.

let us not forget bne and outis

Delort or Durieux, toss up, though Durieux's work from the year dominates my walls

Sperry also had a hell of a year

I'm guessing the Mon-DOHs will vote enough to make Durieux the winner (and he had a very nice year too in his own right) but this was clearly the year of Welker, IMO. Dude drymounting KILLED it this year in all poster genres, not just movie prints.

Delort all the way for me. Breaks out on the scene and every print is a winner.

really surprised he isn't on

ditto but not quite as.

also noticed no James Jean (granted only two major releases and later in the year) or WBYK. Not that surprising but hmm.

I went with:
Durieux,Delort and Landland

Wanted to also vote: Danger (very close),Flames and Ansin .(basically in that order)

e:Ortiz is missing also . :( ....and Jock? (that's more surprising)...granted I have no idea what the poll limit is.

I am surprised Kevin Tong is not up there because he really deserves credit for the last year! '

Top 3:

Laurent Durieux
Nicolas Delort
Tom Whalen

Mention:
Daniel Danger
Kevin Tong

In regards to how the names where chosen...

I did go through all the weekly award winners and typed them all up. I think thats the best way of selecting the artists for the poll. If i missed anyone that won a weekly award, PM me and i'll add em.

That was the most impartial way i saw to create the names. I will post this on every page....seems nobody reads anymore!!!!! :P

Lots of cool stuff this year so it was hard choosing just one.

Esao, Danger, and Delort all put out fantastic work recently.

Duriex ran away with it this year IMO....

Not a huge fan of foils and all that jazz but Zoltron came out with some strong stuff this year too.
