Please stop printing posters is sizes like 19x24, 18x25, 17 1/2 x 26, 17 x 20, 22x31.

18x24 works great, and if you need to vary, how about 16x20, 20x30.

And if you advertise your print as 20x30 and its 22x30 you need to buy a ruler.

Why? Well, as I'm sure many can relate I have limited wall space and as such I like to "rotate" my prints and this is only possible if they will fit the frames I have, if I have to buy a custom frame that print cannot be rotated and my wall space just shrank.

Just a bitch, continue on.

I have to agree. I have at least 15 prints by one artist, and as much as I love his work, not one of them is a standard size. All of them are some variation of 17.5 x 27 or 22.5 x 28, off-sized just enough to make a standard size frame and mat look awkward.
Needless to say, they're some of my favorite prints, but they're just always getting pushed down in the framing queue.

I partially agree. If the dimensions of the print aren't key to the artist's intent, then they should try to use a standard size. If the artist believes a unique size is needed to pull off their vision of the print then that is fine by me. However, it would be nice if they refrained from using unique sizes just to be different or save a few pennies.

I'd like to ban those rolls of paper mounted on walls near toilets. Wtf are those things for? They just get in the way of taking a good dump.

I'd be more into artists not signing and/or stamping with zero regard to future framing.

Ban all 24 by 36 prints that are rubbish. Costs me £200 to frame so low value prints never get framed.

I guess it's no problem for me, I have a friend who makes all my frames for $10. I then get some plexiglass from Lowes, some masonite, then stick an expensive between the two. I guess i'm very simple, but i'd rather not spend the price of a print to get it framed somewhere.

Like movie posters, maybe?

I have framed prints of all sizes. Most vintage posters are non-standard sizes (~14" x ~21") so I don't have an issue with it. Understand the sentiment though. All these different sizes require different storage bags/portfolios/etc. as well.

I have a friend who has a display system that is the most creative I have seen for rotating his posters. He uses peg board and developed simple clips (that do not touch the art; not binder clips) that allow the art to be easily hung and keeps the prints in their plastic (mylar works too) sleeves so he can change them out regularly. And they look great. Easy way to do it and easy on the art too. Takes the right room but finishes out his man-cave very nicely.

You should just trim it with some scissors. The key is to cut both sides to make it equal

You can't call someone an "artist" and then bitch about how what they made doesn't conform to your specific and unique set of circumstances. Do you give a drymount about the art or are you just playing at slightly-bigger-boy baseball cards?
