paypal is now writing him to return print immediately. im not surprised they sided with him, however. essentially, their "seller protection" is to forward my emails, pictures, etc to the buyers credit card issuer. they are not doing arbitration on your behalf. its an individual vs american express and they arent gonna strain that relationship. of course the buyers cardholder will do what they can to settle on their behalf as well.

im in search of a paypal alternative now. any ideas? i also wonder if its possible to accept paypal payments only from existing balances, and not from credit cards. that way, any disputes could be handled internally at paypal.

Thought ya said he filed a chargeback. That has nothing to do with paypal. Chargeback > paypal claim

P.S. Paypal would LOVE if people didn't use cc's to pay for fudge, and won't let ya if there's ANY money in your paypal balance to cover the cost of the purchase, which is why I always immediately withdraw whatever balance is in there.
