Commission status might disqualify it IMO but Eng's Starship Troopers beats most stuff this year.

With the popularity of commissions this year, I would hope we get a COTY category.

it's still qualifies. here's a list of what's been nominated so far this year

Poster ... hp?class=1
Art Print ... p?class=21
Cinema ... p?class=23

with so many commissions I guess ppl want to compare them but it doesn't really fit with the EB art of the year voting that's based on classification (poster, art print, cinema)

#1 The Good The Bad and the Ugly - Weston. I think that print deserves POTY atm.
#2 GOTG - Stout
#3 BTTF 3 - Durieux
#4 Jungle Book - Holt
#5 Alice in Wonderland - Taylor

My other nominees included
- Star Wars - Eng
- Charlie Brown pumpkin - Delort
- Ghost in the machine -Ansin
- almost all the Durieuxs are super strong
- Whalen had an amazing year. Frozen and Finding Nemo were my favorite of his.

But he LOVES the show Big Brother, and premixed margaritas in foil packs.

My Favorites: Delort Great Pumpkin, DDL Fight Club, and/or Matt Taylor Brick
Should win: Ansin GitS Foil, Whalen War of the Worlds, and/or Ken Taylor Alice in Wonderland
Will win: Durieux Birds (Pier), Stout GotG, but probably whatever Aaron Horkey does for Fellowship

So far anyway....

I like these. Have only seen two of them in person, though.

With the way this year has been going, they should just call it now and give every award to David Welker.

Fellowship of the Ring - Horkey

But really... GitS stands out. The Birds (Pier) (though... I don't quite get the hype, personally). Delort's Great Pumpkin and Whalen's WotW are also great imo, but will probably be overlooked.

The year flew by... I know there's 2 months left but... hard to believe it's almost over already.I'm sure something else will come out between now and then to steal a few votes.
