As far as the artist is concerned, these are priced perfectly. Will most likely sell out pretty quickly and very little meat on the bones for flippers. I will most likely go for a regular. 12 colors, hand-pulled, UV varnish, hand-deckled edges. Will probably look pretty sick.

Like most everyone else here, I was prepared to (or at least thinking about) buying at $300. As with all big releases, these would have been immediately on eBay, and may have sold for around $500. I don't have a real problem with the artist trying to get the difference between his sale price and the flip price. It may take a week or so to sell out at these prices, but even that is probably better than essentially gifting $200 to a flipper.

if revolution was a homerun image (for me it wasn't), then i would have happily purchased @ $500.bkboy77 wrote:still waiting for the right image/word/letter from him.

yea maybe, I understand the appeal and I've seen tons of Bens prints in person and they're quite nice and i think the attraction is the high quality of the printing itself, but honestly i just don't get the artistic merit of using a rosewood font adding some colors and slapping a high price tag on it for consumption makes much sense to me, that's all really, not knocking the art per say just the price points set for the artRambosRemodeler wrote:Simpletontoobs wrote:i jus dont get this guys work, and those prices dayum

I'm also surprised by the pricing on these. $500-700 for a combined print run of 500 seems crazy to me. I really liked the image, but the price is so far off from his historical pricing. His other large-edition releases were all priced around $300. At this price, I'd rather put the money into an original piece.
