I recently shipped a 4 inch tube cut down to 28 inches, insured for $200, from Michigan to California and it was $25. At this point $26 doesn’t sound too outrageous.

Yeah I’m sure it’s the 24x36 posters that are necessary for the longer tubes and higher postage. Most fudge I buy are 18x24 or smaller.

from new york to LA, 28inch 4x4 tube, 2lbs. $12 UPS , $14 USPS. No insurance through pirate ship.
