Even something simple like this looks fantastic.frykitty wrote:So who's got their Black Lake framed up??? I'm dying for some pictures..and ideas

After seeing it in person, I think it might look killer in a dark brown/espresso wood frame. The paper color and the ink have a bit of a warm tone to them that I didn't expect. Absolutely love this print (and COA).

could very well be right. I didn't see the link up when I made my guess and I don't know much about Norse mythology...outside of some Ragnarok stuff O_oSPICOLEI wrote:Here's the link: http://www.crystalinks.com/norsecreation.htmlSithlord32 wrote:Well i saw this at work on my phone didnt spend too much time looking at the picture itself. Instead there was a link on this page that is now missing explaining the story behind the piece in which it talked of Fáfnir so i assumed. I would agree from the picture its looks Grecian.
Taken together, several stanzas from four poems collected in the Poetic Edda refer to Ymir as a primeval being who was born from venom that dripped from the icy rivers Élivágar and lived in the grassless void of Ginnungagap.

Yep shredkeenan and myself both wanted to go with simple black from the get go though my molding as a different profile than his I like the straight black on this Black Lake with no matting.I went wth the COA rear mounted with BL instead of framing it on its own. Should have it back in a week or two.xbrc wrote:[Even something simple like this looks fantastic.
You should read up on it its very interesting. Always been drawn to it since I was a child. My family background is Scandinavian, Norwegian and German. Brought up from traditions of story telling in this mythos from my Grandparents and parents.DeadHand wrote: could very well be right.
