Not bought anything in a while from Mondo but do they still deliver to the UK?
On occasion!

I'm not sure if it's just incorrect gossip, but I read someone say that these licensing restrictions have always been there, but Mondo have been clamped down on to make sure they stick to them. Hopefully when these licenses expire, they'll spring for the 'all territories' license pack, although I have no idea if such a thing exists or if that's the way it works!

Using a friendly US based forwarder is your best bet, there's a lot of good folk out there who would help you out if you posted a request thread.

Japan, but not Canada... good day sir!
I'm in Canada and it costs more to ship everywhere, so get over it.

Thanks for the info, I had a feeling it might have something to do with licenses. Hopefully it changes in the future.
Thats a good idea on finding a US based forwarder. I'm sure I can find someone to help.

So for sure these won't be able to ship to Canada directly?

"Ships to US, Japan, Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands"

Doesn't look like it, sorry. Can try but don't think it'll work.

I think the first half is a fantastic psychological study, great stuff. But the actual Vietnam part is just ok to me. Some memorable bits but as whole not doing or saying much that other Vietnam films didn’t do better. But again that’s just imo. I respect your opinion and fandom good sir.
And to you sir. I actually can agree on some level. It does sort of have a very stylized depiction of the absurdity of the conflict and of war itself, which doesn't quite hold up comparatively to the first half the film, which is pretty bullet proof

No hostility intended, this is just a debate I enjoy having and like to see where other individuals fall on the matter. Love the poster, both the reg and the var. Glad to see mondo put out something that i'd actually like to cop and display.
I really enjoy FMJ, but tend to agree with Playa on this one . . . and I'm in the camp that thinks Platoon is pretty much the end all/be all of Vietnam movies.

Best batch of Mondos in a while IMO.
That's not saying much though.
you're not wrong, but still doesn't diminish the quality of the Barret posters, at least to me. The Pelcer I'm not sure is that special, but I get why people like it.

I think the Barrett Clockwork Orange is my favourite. I don't really have the urge to buy any of them, but they're all quite nice.

Platoon is certainly a movie that deserves a great poster. The Jay Shaw is a bit too abstract for me. Come to think of it, not a whole lot of alternative posters for war movies sadly. (Thin Red Line being the only one I can recall as of late) That's why that Barrett is aces imo.
