Mondo Talk always has a bittersweet feel to it but this year it felt especially painful, too many gems shown stuck in limbo to licensing red tape.

Makes me wonder if that side of the industry will wise up - I could be wrong, but it some of it feels like a generation gap between older [and more prosperous] studios/license holders with a death grip on their licensing and newer studios like A24 that are happy to work with Mondo.

It's a damn shame.

Does anyone know if this is a timed release or they're numbered? It doesn't state so on the website.

Judging by the tripe that studios put out for theatrical posters, licensing art for crap at the mall, etc., they don't have the best designers generally, so I can see how someone who approves the type of poster or licensed good below would not get what Mondo artists are going for with more nuanced takes on a property.

At mondo talk they said they worked on the art, but were not affiliated with the release, or something along those lines.
