It feels good to be big on the internet.
Germain's gotta keep those prices down. He needs that money for the Star Wars Trading Card app.jkw3000 wrote:Nothing like an article hyping it up...followed by "yeah the market's getting oversaturated, bubble will burst soon."
I would say its 99% down to being into this too long and over saturation of the market - it seems like a new limited pop culture company pops up every week all doing similar releases (with a few exceptions like Black Dragon that do very interesting properties)TheBeard wrote:I'm kinda with you. Maybe just been doing this for too long and the market is so saturated, I was not blown away by anything even though from a quality standpoint it's as good a SDCC as Mondo has ever had.Odess wrote:Honestly, I'm not hugely wow'd by the drops, aside from Danger. Don't get me wrong. The art is all incredible. I just don't fancy it. Didn't feel like I did a couple years ago with everything where I said "GOTTA HAVE IT". Or maybe that's just me getting worn down on the hobby. Or trying to recover from the mystery box. Lol. I think the only thing aside from the Edmiston set of EwoaF and the Mitchell prints, all I'll get is the Danger. Maybe the Tong Ant Man. I think that will look sick on foil.
I've already spent $450 total at the con, and the total will probably be $600 by the end of tomorrow.
Any hobby can get old especially collecting when there is no limit to it with multiple new items out every week. I keep trying to limit myself to two or three artists but still get caught in the hype/moment
