Some glorious melts apparently.mike123230 wrote:wait -- what was the meltdowns over the weekend?
-People in line going off at artist for capping sales each day.
-People in line going off at artist for allowing 2 prints per purchase per day per collector.
-People in line going off at other well known collectors who apparently snuck into event earlier than even some VIP's and others in line.
FB was fun over the weekend. Some groups then trying to bury comments and delete the drama where they were recipient of said PB's.
storytime . . . I missed this!rubberneck wrote: -People in line going off at other well known collectors who apparently snuck into event earlier than even some VIP's and others in line.

Clearly the foil will be from the perspective of one of the knives. You'll only see random closet details but my god it'll look amazing.EgoDeath wrote:2020 Pumpkin Variant. Watch the action unfold from the view of the Pumpkin.rubberneck wrote:But wait, there's more!jkw3000 wrote:

Possibly being able to buy the Edmiston helped persuade me to purchase an H40 ticket. Lined up outside the convention center Saturday well before the 11am GA opening with empty poster tube and cautious optimism.
Got in. Saw crowded Edmiston booth. Had a Christmas Story moment when a volunteer pointed out the line was actually up against the far wall. Conservative estimate guessed there were at least 200 people waiting. Who knows how many posters already sold during the hour the floor was open to VIPs.
325 prints at 2 per person with an allotment for both days. 325/2/2 = 81 customers.
Running the numbers, it was immediately obvious there was no hope of scoring the print, which I already assumed was likely anyway. Although disappointed, I shrugged and went about my day at the show. I feel like those who waited X hours for nothing didn't do the math and come to the quick conclusion it wasn't going to happen.

Regardless of the crybabies in line, I will play devil's advocate and say that Edmiston's line policies have never made sense to me. Learned that at SDCC this year, "limit 5 per person per print" is so stupid it feels like Facebook themselves invented the rule.
I paid over 1k to come to this stupid convention and your telling me your con exclusives are going to everyone in the FB group who is playing Poster Buddy? So everyone who didn't come to the convention is getting the convention exclusives? Seems par for the course of what SDCC is now though.
Dude also only accepts cash and F&F Paypal in line too. No G&S allowed. So, uhh good luck with that in the long-run.

2 per person seems completely unnecessary. 1 per person would have allowed more people the opportunity to buy it. Makes no sense. Wonder why they decided to make it 2 per person?
I can't say for certain because I am not in his FB group, but he is active on FB on other parts and I think it is just to support the PB scene. I can't think of any other reason that it would make sense.Zer0T0lerance00 wrote:rubberneck wrote:Some glorious melts apparently.mike123230 wrote:wait -- what was the meltdowns over the weekend?
